"Play with Om Nom on new wild adventures into the next dimension of gaming: Mixed Reality."

Designed an XR game concept for Zepto Labs to help them bring Cut the Rope into XR/AR with the Apple Vision and the Meta Quest 3.
​
A puzzle game that exists in your room and makes use of the objects inside to create new challenges, similar to Rube Goldberg machines.
With intuitive gestures, players took control like never before and even got to bond with Om Nom like a pet.

Given that the Apple Vision had not come out yet, I had to revise all the documentation in regards to UX and development to make sure the development process went smoothly with the team.

HELLDIVERS - MOBILIZE
"Helldivers: Mobilize is a hardcore 4-player Co-op auto-aim shooter that focuses on humanity’s ongoing mission to fend off alien invaders using over the-top weapons and war machines on the most hellish landscapes brave souls have ever encountered!
Discover new mechanics, crazy scenarios and spectacular features that bring the chaotic endless fun of Helldivers to Mobile."
An unfinished concept that needed a designer to revive it and fully develop it. That's when I came in.

I took the popular PlayStation franchise and went full steam into the democratic propaganda and the hellish action, and adapted it into the F2P model.
​
The first step was to adapt the gameplay into mobile with intuitive swipe and tap mechanics. That included using swipe combinations for the famous Stratagems.
​
Given that we came with the auto-aim feature for mobile, we needed to adapt friendly fire into it without making it feel punishing or unfair. That's why I came with the solution of only hurting teammates with Stratagems and explosives that are set manually.
​
I looked at modern and effective F2P engagement and retention systems to design the campaigns, daily and weekly events, season passes, currencies, bundles, achievements and much more, and adapted it to the world of Hell Divers.
​
I added a new game mode called RAIDS, where players compete in 4v4 action to complete a mission and earn the most rewards.
​
When it comes to meta gameplay, I suggested upgradeable loadouts and player customization, as well as faction rivalry and Guilds (called Legions).
Faction rivalry spices things up by adding a new objective to the player: spread the most freedom alongside your team by playing the most and gaining the most influence in a campaign.

BLITZ DROID
"A fast-paced 3D Multiplayer Top-Down
Arcade game for mobile where players take control of a tiny, but mighty BATTLE DROID, fighting to push each other out of an interactive arena.”

A game I pitched to Amber Studio and got developed into a full deck with a prototype that was presented to Apple Arcade.
​
I designed a simple but fun gameplay loop, progression systems, meta gameplay features like collection and customization of droids, retention features like daily missions and weekly challenges, and multiplayer features like Guilds/Leagues and Trade Shops. Players were incentivised to customize their own droid and trade or sell it with the community, similar to the Beyblade toy.
​
I was tasked with prototyping the project too, using networking tools like Photon Pun and Unity's Physics Engine to prove the core gameplay was fun and addictive.

SCREAM - ROBLOX

Work as a team to escape or defeat Ghostface with traps and weapons in this action-horror game with epic twists based on the acclaimed meta slasher horror series: Scream, now coming to Roblox."
Working with the Roblox Vertical, we got to bring the popular Scream franchise into Roblox.
​
I was the lead designer in this project, coming up with the main core loop, game mechanics, different player roles, the traps and weapons, and the different missions/scenarios.
I also got to oversee and list the team and resources needed to make this project happen.
​
Having been a fan of the series, working on this project was a dream come true!

SPORTVERSE
"Experience the rush and community of sport events, now on the Metaverse alongside thousands of users. Play group activities and watch breathtaking spectacles inside a huge interactive 3D sport-themed arena, guided by a witty and lively moderator and many more surprises!"
Worked as the lead and only game designer on the SportVerse project, sponsored by the metaverse company: Improbable. And I got to pitch it too.

I got to design a metaverse multiplayer game that can hold hundreds of players where they play group activities based on sports.
​
I designed a timeline of events that worked as a 45 min-1 hour game session with a setup, sport activities, bid activities, ad and sponsor features embedded into the game map and store, and a huge final ceremony that congratulates the players and highlights the memories made.

Got to work on the revival of the classic arcade game: Exciting Bass, where I served as lead designer.
I ought to bring back the excitement to the series with a multiplayer game that expands on the formula with new but accessible mechanics, an inventory system with much more depth, new fishes and creatures, new stakes and never seen before failure states, and of course, new locations all around the world filled with unique collectables!

Players get to play the classic single-player campaign mode or compete agains the best fisher-people in the world to catch the rarest and most exotic creatures in the world.

Adapting the Crash Genre for GPN
I got to adapt the casino crash genre into the GPN platform.
​
The game consists of the following rules:
1. The player bets
2. The vehicle takes off
3. The player’s potential winnings tick higher as the vehicle flies upwards
4. If the player bails out, they claim the current prize
5. If the player waits too long, the vehicle explodes resulting in a loss
6. Rinse & repeat

I got to adapt the game following the client's rules and needs, with certain liberties designed by me. Those liberties include the space theme and the game mode variations, such as stealing gold from a dragon before it wakes up!

Road to Cannon Hill
An F2P 2.5D arcade and dexterity game where players shoot and aim a stuntman to the top of a hill.

I designed over 100+ levels to complete, a fully operational store with skins, advertisements and a very addictive gameplay inspired by Donkey Kong's barrel mechanic.

Lord Birdy and the Hallway of Madness
An arcade infinite runner I designed and pitched to the famous Latin American Youtuber Lord Birdy, which he then commissioned me to develop.
​
I wanted to add a new twist to the arcade runner formula by adding a scenario rotation mechanic, as well as unique tap and swipe features to overcome obstacles ahead.

A gamified puzzle I designed and wrote for the touristic app Questo, currently the highest rated quest in all of Mexico!
​
For this experience, I had to explore Google Maps and Google Earth to design puzzles and challenges based on the locations we travel and encounter.
I wrote a fictional/historical adventure full of twists and turns and a beautiful climax where players find the perfect inspiration for a painting. ​​
